For faith to work in your life, it requires an evidence; something must lead you to have faith and the evidence of faith is the Word of God. How do I know God will give me a car? The evidence says, “My God shall supply all my needs” (Phil. 4:19). How do I know I will be healed? The evidence says, “He was wounded for my transgressions, he was bruised for my iniquities and the chastisement of my peace was upon Him and by His stripes, we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). You must always have the Word of God in your heart.
A powerful Christian is not the one who stands to pray for hours. You can pray for hours and it only becomes a noise because prayer becomes powerful when it is resting on the foundation of God`s word. The reason many people commit sin and nothing breaks their heart is because there is no Word in their hearts to judge the sins they commit. David said, “Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I may not sin against you” (Psalms 119:11). It means that if the Word of God is not in you, sin appears natural to you. May you from today study the Word to show yourself approved as a workman readily dividing the Word of truth.
