SEPT. 10- WIN THAT BATTLE

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

PROVERBS 18:21

There is nothing wrong in being challenged in life, but it is unscriptural for you to be defeated. Jesus Christ said, “In this world, you will have tribulations but be of good courage because I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). So, it is scriptural to be challenged in life but unscriptural to be defeated. Whatever it is that you are going through, you must win the battle. Job was challenged, but he got double blessings for his troubles. If you don’t go through challenges, how will you know the power of God?

Christianity may not appear the way you are thinking but scripture says, “Woe on them that are at ease in Zion” (Amos 6:1); which means that when you wake up each day and the devil is not knocking at your door, chances are that God has left you. Jesus Christ said, “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matt 16:18). Who is the church here? It is you and I, so the gates of hell certainly cannot prevail against us. Light shines in darkness and darkness comprehends it not (John 1:5). So whenever you see darkness around you, all that you have to bring out is light. May you receive power to operate in the midst of your enemies.
