“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
JAMES 4:8
This particular scripture was written to Christians, those who are in Christ (Eph. 2:13). James 4:8 admonishes Christians to be closer to God and not to be far from Him. We can be closer or farther from God in our thoughts, attitudes, and worship.
What does it mean to draw closer to God? It means that we must commune with Him in our thoughts. It means that we must allow His Word to shape our attitude in life, and we must glorify Him in our lifestyle. Even when we are faced with oppositions and pressures of life, we must take the time to focus on Him and not the affairs of this world. Our hearts and mind should focus on Him, and not the affairs of this world. How can we draw closer to God? We can draw closer to Him through our daily Bible studies, attending church meetings regularly as well as seeking Him through fasting and prayers.

Pray and ask God to draw you nearer unto Himself………
