SEP. 4 – DON’T BE DISQUALIFIED

“Therefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he falls.” — 1 CORINTHIANS 10:12

Paul said, “Let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he falls.” Again, he said, “I keep under my body and bring it into subjection, lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway” (1 Cor 9:27). What will disqualify you from this kingdom are the desires of this world. When Paul was writing to his son Timothy, he said, “Dwell with the sisters; treat them with purity” (1 Tim 5:2). Paul meant to walk with them, treat them like sisters, but make sure the foundation of purity is established; otherwise, something will take you out of the kingdom.

Today, the world is presenting things that cause many people to backslide. The world is making sin very appealing, as if there is no hell. You can open your Facebook and be seduced. The addiction to some of these social media platforms is causing people to even lose their prayer lives. Who told you that you are obligated to answer every call? We are now married to social media, and couples don’t have time for each other these days; we no longer spend time with God. Jesus said, “Occupy till I come; take heed because you don’t know when the Master is coming.”

Prayer: Pray and ask God to deliver you from the addictions of this world.
