SEP. 25 – DON’T CUT YOUR LIFE SHORT

“For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.” — JOB 14:7-9

The above scripture contains the words of Job, a man who suffered many calamities in his life. I can imagine him, in the midst of all his troubles, asking himself, “If a tree can have hope, why shouldn’t I have hope?” And as you know, a tree represents life. No wonder he was able to confidently say, “…All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come” (Job 14:14).

Hope is the fountain of every desired future. With hope, you can dream again and have a new beginning. Maybe you have looked at your past and are now wondering, “What have I achieved at all?” It could be that your business, marriage, or career has been in turmoil for so long, and now it is making you feel discouraged. I am here to announce to you today that you must not lose hope because what is behind you cannot be compared to what lies ahead of you.

Prayer: Pray and ask God to bring back to life all your dead hopes.
