“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” — Matthew 6:26 (NIV)
As much as God is abundant, He doesn’t simply release His blessings just because He has more than enough. Don’t assume that because God is “too much,” He automatically gives out His blessings without any action on your part. To access His abundance, you need a currency and that currency is faith. Faith is what taps into God’s vast provision and brings the things you seek into your reach.
Just like everything in the natural world has a price, so does the supernatural. You won’t receive it just because you feel you deserve it; you must have faith to access it. That’s why faith is a battle. In fact, the Bible tells us the only battle we are called to fight is the fight of faith. Why? Because although faith releases blessings, there’s an enemy striving to block them.
Belief alone isn’t enough, you must act on what you believe. That’s why the Bible says, “Faith without works is dead” (James 2:26). This is why I constantly call for fasting, so we can gather together, pray, and seek God’s face. I understand that the blessings you’re seeking won’t come automatically; it requires action and effort to receive them.
Prayer:
Ask God for the grace to act on your faith.
