“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus…”
Philippians 2:5
It is often said, “A thought reaps an action, an action reaps a habit, a habit reaps a character, and a character reaps a destiny.” This means that every action is the direct product of a thought. You behave the way you do because of the state of your mind. The Apostle Paul reminds us, “And do not be conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Romans 12:2).
Why must you renew your mind? Because God will not do it for you. If there is anything God cannot change for you, it is the way you think. That’s why He says, “Come now, let us reason together” (Isaiah 1:18).
Africa is not lagging behind because of poverty; it is because of the state of our minds. Your surroundings reflect the state of your mind. When you visit Potter’s City and observe how things are done, it reflects the state of our minds. The way you think directly affects the way you behave. “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7).
God’s blessings in the Bible are not automatic. Every promise of God is conditional; there is always a part you must play to access those blessings. If you truly want to be blessed, you must work on your mind. Change the way you think, and God will change the way He sees you.
Prayer: Pray and ask God to help align your thoughts with things that bring transformation.
