“Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord… Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.”

For some people, if they change the way they speak, they will transform their marital fortunes. You may have prayed many kinds of prayers, but the remaining issue to address is your character.
The reason God says, “Wives, submit to your husbands,” is that God created men with a natural inclination towards leadership, which can manifest as a sense of superiority over women.
Even if you earn more money than your husband, because of the divine hierarchy God has established, you must still submit to him. “The head of the woman is man, and the head of man is Christ, and the head of Christ is God” (1 Corinthians 11:3). This is the spiritual order that God has instituted. If you try to rise above your husband, the marriage will struggle. Two things could happen: a strong-willed man may eventually divorce you, or a Christian man who fears divorce may stay, but you will not receive his heartfelt attention.

Pray and ask God to help you establish the essential elements of love and submission in your relationship.
