“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” – Mark 11:23 (NKJV)
If you are going to become all that God has made you to be, you must be mindful of what comes out of your mouth. A child of God shouldn’t speak carelessly. In our reference scripture for today, God is emphasizing that anything you speak will be honored. So, when you speak negatively, those words will also be honored.
Romans 10:8-9 says, “But what does it say? ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart’ (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Notice, the word is first in your mouth before it enters your heart. It must come out of your mouth before your heart can register it. Confession is vital in your walk of faith. Even in salvation, you must confess with your mouth and believe in your heart. If this principle works for salvation, it can also work for your prosperity and breakthrough. If you can say it with your mouth, you qualify to receive it in your hand.
One of the hindrances to your faith walk is negative confession, whether consciously or unconsciously.
PRAYER: Pray and ask God to deliver you from negative confessions.
