OCT. 9 – HAVE THE GOD KIND OF FAITH – PART 2

“That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” – 1 Corinthians 2:5 (KJV)

What is the God-kind of faith?

  1. The God-kind of faith speaks before seeing.
Jesus spoke to curse the fig tree before it withered. If Jesus had remained silent, the tree would have continued to live. One reason many fail to operate in the God-kind of faith is the fear of speaking out. Another reason is doubt, with thoughts like, “What if I say it and nothing happens?” But the real question is: What if you say it, and something does happen?

Consider when Peter and John encountered the lame man at the gate called Beautiful. They didn’t pray to God; Peter simply declared, “Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, I give thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). That’s the God-kind of faith in action.

  1. The God-kind of faith operates from the heart, not the mind.
Jesus said, “Verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, ‘Be thou removed and cast into the sea,’ and shall not doubt in his heart…” (Mark 11:23). This means that even if doubt exists in your mind, as long as faith resides in your heart, breakthrough is possible. Think about the times when you doubted something in your mind, yet it still came to pass. The manifestation occurred because faith was in your heart, not your mind. Faith in the mind can be blocked by the enemy because Satan operates through the mind. However, the heart is regenerated and made new when you become born again.

PRAYER:
Ask God to help you cultivate the heart of faith.
