Prayer is our direct line of communication with God. It is one of the greatest assets a believer has. In Luke 21:36, Jesus said, “Watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be counted worthy to escape…” Take note of the phrase, “…that you may be counted worthy to escape.” This means there are some challenges in life you won’t escape if you choose to remain prayerless. You may miss out on certain blessings in your Christian journey unless you learn to pray. Certain doors in your life will never open until you engage heaven with fervent, earnest prayers.
Prayer strengthens your relationship with God. There are many things rightfully yours through your covenant walk with Him, but you may never experience them until you ask for them in prayer. Over the years, I have seen people’s destinies transformed through prayer and witnessed the power of prayer destroy all kinds of satanic oppression. Prayer is a powerful weapon through which we fight and overcome the devil and his forces, allowing us to claim our inheritance in Christ. I encourage you today: if you can engage heaven with prayer, you will overcome the battles you are facing right now.
