OCT. 30 – LET YOUR WAY OF DRESSING HONOR GOD

“Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel.” – 1 Peter 3:3

As believers, we must reflect that we are not part of this world, even in the way we dress. Many in the world dress to seek attention, provoke immoral thoughts in others, or flaunt their wealth. We cannot allow such motives to influence our choices. As children of God, we should always dress in a manner that is neat, clean, and appropriate, because the way we dress can affect how others perceive the God we serve.

When choosing our clothes or deciding how we want to present ourselves, we must remember that our choices impact others. How do you dress when you go out? Do you dress to draw attention to yourself? While it is natural to want to look good, what truly makes us attractive are our Christian qualities, not our outward appearance. God is more concerned with the qualities we display because they reflect who we are on the inside.

Regardless of your cultural background, ensure that what you wear brings honor to God.

PRAYER:
Lord, help me to exhibit good Christian values in all areas of my life, including the way I dress. Let my appearance honor You and reflect the qualities You desire in me. Amen.
