OCT. 31 – LOVE GOD

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28

Every struggle in life can be transformed by love. When the love of God fills your heart, life’s challenges can be overcome. Many Christians serve God, not out of love, but in hopes of receiving blessings. True love for God, however, is made possible by the Holy Spirit. When you walk in this divine love, you will experience an open heaven.

David embodied this kind of love. He was known as a man after God’s own heart. Remember how he claimed the throne of Israel? When someone defied the army of God, David boldly declared, “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine? I would rather die than allow him to continue!” Love compelled him to face Goliath, and love brought him victory. If you desire an open heaven, let the love of God reign in your heart. You can also express this love through your giving, just as God demonstrated His love by giving His only begotten Son (John 3:16).

PRAYER:
Ask God to help you serve Him wholeheartedly, with both your will and your substance.
