Prayer is our communication link with God. It is one of the greatest assets of the believer. In Luke 21:36 Jesus said, “Watch ye therefore and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape…”. Note the phrase “…ye may be accounted worthy to escape…”. It means that you will not escape some troubles in life if you choose to remain prayerless. You will never enjoy certain blessings in your Christian walk unless you learn to pray. Certain doors in your life will never be opened to you until you properly engage heaven with serious travailing prayers.
Prayer enhances the strength of your relationship with God. There are many things that are rightfully yours in your covenant walk with God, but you may never enjoy them until you ask for them in prayers. Over the years, I have seen people’s destinies changed through prayers, all kinds of satanic oppression being destroyed by the power of prayer. Prayer is a weapon with which we battle and contend the devil and his forces to possess our possessions in Christ. I suggest to you today that if you can engage heaven with prayers, you will win that battle you are facing now.
