SEPT. 2 – SERVE GOD WITH YOUR TALENT

“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering:  or he that teaches, on teaching.”

ROMANS 12:6-7

Every talent and training you have, if it does not benefit the church, it has no generational impact. Find something in the house of God and do because you can be in church and not be in function. Every department in the church renders service unto God. The ushers you see in the church are serving God, the cleaners are also serving God. When we go to heaven, we are not going to account to God what we did for man but what we did for Him. I was trained as a building technologist. I have certificates in quantity surveying but I have put them aside and I am now preaching.

The Bible says, “And you shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of you.” (Ex. 23:25) The reason some of us don’t fall sick is that we are serving God. If God allows the devil to put sickness in me, how can I do His work? We are busily working for companies that do not even pay us well and refusing to serve God who can bless us. May you from today discover an area in the house of God and serve Him with both your time and talent.

PRAYER:

Pray and ask God to give you the grace to serve Him faithfully in His house…..

TODAY’S QUOTE:

Doing nothing in the house of God is a manifestation of pride.
