The devil could deceive Eve to eat the forbidden fruit by telling her that God doesn`t want them to be like him. Anytime the devil comes to steal something from you, he tries to take something you already have by making it look as if you don’t have it. You were already made in the image and likeness of God, yet the devil still said you must eat the forbidden fruit to be like God. The Bible describes Jesus as the Son of God, yet the devil came to Him and said, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to turn into bread (Matt. 4:3). So, if you don’t know who you are, the devil can let you appear as if you are nobody.
The temptation satan brought to Eve was the same temptation he brought to Jesus, and it is the same temptation he will bring to you, but to overcome him, you must first know who you are in Christ. One of the things that made Jesus walked boldly on earth was that He knew who he was, and He was always declaring who he was – I am the way… I am the truth. If you don’t want to be like Jesus, then whom else do you want to be like? I pray that from today, you will go out and declare who you are… I am valuable…. I am bought with a price… I cannot be sick … I cannot be poor…

Pray and declare boldly who you are in Christ….
