In this generation, the attack of the devil on us is our hope. If there is anything the devil has targeted to take in your life, it is your hope. I have discovered that if satan attacks your hope, your faith automatically becomes impotent. It is faith and hope that combine to produce the miracles you need. The attack on our hope is coming from all angles. Today, you can switch on your television or radio and become depressed by the things you see or hear. Anytime you visit the hospital, your hope comes under attack; whether what the doctor will tell you will be a hopeful situation or a hopeless situation.
Once hope comes under attack, your faith, which is the ingredient to get God’s attention, shuts down. A lot of people think that their faith is not working. It is their hope rather that has come under attack, and once you are hopeless, you become helpless. If satan attacks your hope, he knows that your faith cannot work because faith will always be the substance of things you hope for (Heb. 11:1). In the midst of all Job`s attack, one thing the devil couldn`t steal was his hope because Job himself said: “When you cut down a tree, it has hope that it will grow again” (Job 14:7). May the Lord resurrect all your dead hopes in Jesus’ Name.
