“And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fails not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.”
LUKE 22:31-32
It is difficult for God to intervene in your situation when you are torn between His word and some other alternative plans. Jesus told Peter in Luke 22:31-32 “… Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fails not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” The devil had orchestrated a plan to destroy Simon Peter. Jesus counteracted the devil’s plan by praying that Peter’s faith would withstand the test.
Faith is the key for all successful spiritual activity. Jesus did not say, “I have prayed for you that you will escape this temptation.” He said, “I have prayed for you that your faith will not fail.” The devil is after your faith, so guard your faith with all diligence. Don’t allow the devil to steal your faith; keep it intact. You will win consistently against him and his demons. I know from experience that your own faith brings you your victory. This explains why your faith is the devil’s number one target. Your faith is very important to God as a believer. Never allow your faith to fail.
PRAYER:
Pray and ask God to help you not to lose faith in Him…
