SEPT. 02 – WHAT SUPPRESSED ANGER CAN LEAD TO

“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.”

EPHESIANS 4:26

The Bible says, “Let not the sun go down on your anger.” This means that any time you get angry, you can decide to let it go, but if you keep holding it, it grows into unforgiveness. At this level, you become very heavy because of the things you are keeping in your heart. When anger grows to this level, you can even come to church, hear the Word of God and still go home with the issue at heart.

From unforgiveness, it gets into resentment. There is something about resentment; it is a strong and painful bitterness you feel when someone does something wrong to you. It is so heavy that when you carry it, it retards your movement in life. If you still keep to your resentment, you will enter into bitterness. Anybody walking in bitterness doesn’t have a future because in no time, everything in your life will begin to sink. This is the stage you easily become tired in life because of the depth of pain you have accumulated in your life. Never allow your anger lead you this far. It can be very dangerous.

PRAYER:

Pray and ask God to help you control your temper……

TODAY’S QUOTE:

When anger moves from unforgiveness to resentment, it produces bitterness.
