Every revival recorded in the history of Christianity came as a result of prayer and fasting. You can never experience any revival in your life without the price of prayer and fasting. The reason many believers find it difficult to fast is that of its sacrificial nature. Fasting is a sacrifice, and whenever a sacrifice is made, power is released.
The devil knows that once you engage in a period of fasting, you will release some power, which will render his kingdom impotent and powerless. That is why Jesus didn’t begin His ministry without engaging in a forty-day and forty-night fast. Fasting will always improve the believer’s spiritual condition and also give them the upper hand over the enemy.
