As believers, we must show that we are no part of this world by the way we dress as well. Many people in the world dress to get attention, stir up immoral thoughts in others, or to show off how much money they have. We can’t allow any of such reasons influence our choice of dressing. As children of God, we must always dress in a way that is neat, clean, and appropriate because the way we dress can affect how others view the God we serve. When we choose our clothes or decide how we want to look, we must always remember that our choices affect other people.
How do you dress when you are going out? Do you dress to draw more attention to yourself? Of course, we naturally want to look good, but the things that will truly make us attractive are our Christian qualities and not the way we dress. Exhibiting good Christian qualities are the things God expects us to show when He looks at us because that shows who we are inside. So irrespective of the cultural background you come from, make sure that what you wear honors the God.
