Oct. 1- Run with endurance

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us…”

Hebrews 12:1

Endurance is the ability to go through unpleasant or difficult processes or situations without giving up.

It means that there are times you are going to face hardships and circumstances that do not look like what you are expecting. What will you do?

The Bible admonishes us to “run with endurance…” it does not say we should walk or crawl, but run. In the process of running we may become exhausted, disheartened, discouraged or even disappointed. That is why we are cautioned that we will need endurance in order to experience success.

No one has ever been successful by giving up! No great person has made it in life without the quality of endurance.

This year, no matter what comes your way, develop a spirit of endurance to carry you through the trying times and challenges of life and you will surely emerge as a winner!

When you see the storm, remember what God had said to you, face the challenge and endure to the end. The crown of victory is for those who endure.

Prayer: Lord, grant me the spirit of endurance; that I may not give up along the way.
