OCT. 22 – GRIEVE NOT THE SPIRIT

“He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man “Stretch out hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.”

Mark 3:5

Jesus was grieved by the hardness of their hearts, and because of the Holy Spirit inside Him, the Spirit was grieved! The anointing of the Holy Spirit worked through Jesus, but He could not work more miracles because of their attitude.

Our hard hearts and bad attitude can grieve the Holy Spirit such that He is unable to work in us or through us.

In Mark 3:7, you notice that Jesus went away. He left because of the grieving of the Holy Spirit, and He could not heal any more.

Grieve not the Holy Spirit that is in you. Know the word and enforce it.

Whatever God is taking you through; you must be constant and persevere till the end of the process! Do not say or do things that will grieve the Spirit of God.

Prayer: O Lord, forgive me for grieving your Holy Spirit. Help me to be sensitive to your Spirit in Jesus name. Amen.
