OCT. 21 – HOLINESS

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” Hebrews 12:14

You must make a conscious decision to live a holy life. It does not just happen by accident. The fruit of the Spirit includes self-control, which means, God is not going to control you, you have to control yourself. Set boundaries for your life. You cannot lock yourself in a room with the opposite sex and claim you will speak in tongues and escape. The tongues will not help you at that time. The Bible says that when you see fornication, flee! It didn’t say, when you see fornication, speak in tongues!

Some of us have made some mistakes in the past, but it’s time to move forward. Unfortunately, there are people in church who don’t repent, they regret! If you repent you won’t repeat it. But if you only regret, tomorrow you will be there again.

Even though we talk about fornication and adultery, spiritual sins are judged faster than physical sins. Sins such bitterness, anger, hatred, animosity and envy all defile us and make us unable to see God.

The battles of life would have been easy if all of us were spiritual! But the carnality is too much.

You should know that in the realms of the spirit, ignorance is not an excuse! You cannot say “I didn’t know” and expect to get away with it.

When you consciously walk in holiness, you will come to the place of sensitivity to God. Pursue holiness and your Christian life will be easy to live.

Prayer: Lord, help me be holy, even as you are holy. In Jesus name. Amen.
