SEP. 7 – LEADERSHIP IS CRUCIAL

“Let them alone: they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” — MATTHEW 15:14

If Africa lacks anything, it is not money. We don’t lack resources. God has blessed us so much that even when we plant on rocks, they still grow. Other countries don’t have sunshine, yet they have solar power. We have abundant sunshine, but no solar power. If there is anything we lack as Africans, it is leadership.

Many years ago, I was studying the Book of Nehemiah, and the Lord told me to pay close attention to what I was reading. God then said to me, “Do you know that Nehemiah didn’t bring people from elsewhere to rebuild the broken wall? He used the people living around the wall. Why? He simply provided them with leadership.” Nehemiah had no problems where he was because he was a cupbearer to a powerful monarch. He was very comfortable where he was, but when he heard about the broken wall, he went to provide leadership to the people. All Nehemiah did to rebuild the broken wall was to offer leadership. So, if you are going through any crisis in life, chances are there is a leadership problem somewhere.

Prayer: Pray and ask God to raise the right leaders for your country.
