SEP. 17 – STOP CONDEMNING YOURSELF

“I, even I, am he that blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and will not remember your sins.” — ISAIAH 43:25

Guilt is when you feel that you have not been forgiven. Many Christians live with a sense of self-condemnation; they are constantly reminding themselves of things they did in the past. There is nothing you can do about your past. The only way to deal with past mistakes is to confess, forsake, and forget them. The Bible says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us all our sins” (1 John 1:9). It is one thing for God to forgive you, and another for you to forgive yourself.

I have talked to many Christians who ask me, “Man of God, are you sure God can forgive me for this sin?” And my answer has always been a resounding ‘Yes’ because I know from the Scriptures that there is no sin in this world that the blood of Jesus cannot wipe away. If you are battling with any sin, just put it under the blood of Jesus. There is always a possibility that you may sin in the future. I am not giving you a license to sin (Romans 6:15), but if you do, ask God to forgive you and continue your walk with Him.

Prayer: Pray and ask God to deliver you from self-condemnation and guilt.
