“And Jesus said unto them, because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain; remove from here to yonder place and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
MATTHEW 17:20
One day, Jesus cursed a fig tree and His disciples were so amazed, and He said to them, “Have faith” (Mk 11:12-14; 21-22). Jesus used the cursing of the fig tree as a point of contact to teach His disciples the principles of faith. He said to them, “I did this by faith” and added, “If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain be thou remove; and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matt 17:20). Jesus was talking about commanding situations in your life to move by faith and not moving physical mountains.
One day, Jesus was traveling on a boat with His disciples and there came a great storm but Jesus was found sleeping. His disciples came to wake Him up and when He woke up, He rebuked the wind and said to the sea “Peace, be still” and the wind ceased, and there was a great calm (Mk 4:35-39). He turned to his disciples and asked them, “Why are you so fearful; don’t you have faith?” From today, may you rise and calm every storm in your life. You will speak to that situation and nothing will be impossible for you.
