AUG. 1 – DEVELOP A GOOD CONSCIENCE AND A CLEAN HEART

“Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.”

1PETER 3:16

Conscience is what makes someone who is not even a Christian not commit evil. Apostle Paul said, “In the end time men will have a seared conscience” (1Tim. 4:2) meaning, they will do evil and feel nothing wrong. One day, I bought something from a shop and the teller gave me balance more than she was supposed to give me. I drove somewhere to buy something else, when I opened my bag, I realized that the lady made a mistake. Immediately, a voice came to me, “If you take this money, you have disgraced me”. I turned back to the shop and met the lady in tears. She said to her friend, “I gave this man balance more than I was supposed to give him, but someone told me that he is a pastor; if truly he is a pastor, he will bring back the money”. Assuming I pocketed the money, I would have shut the faith of someone. There are things we do that shut the faith of others. The Lord told me one day, He said, “None of your people can serve me in poverty again”. I said, Lord! then bless us, He said, “You are not ready for it.” I said, Lord! Why are we not ready? He said, “You can`t be a thief and attract my blessing”.
