“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby.”
1 PETER 2:2
Growth comes when one begins to mature from what he or she used to do. Every growth is a form of maturity. God expects His children to grow from some negative attitudes into a more positive attitude. We must keep growing until we become like Jesus.
However, this growth the Bible is talking about is not just going to church, because you can be very committed to the church and still have a questionable character. Being committed to church is not a sign of Christian maturity. In fact, you can be in church and not be in Christ. True growth is allowing the word of God to rule your life. This means that you must practice the word and live by the word. Practicing the word is a sure way of Christian maturity and there is no substitute for this. You need to engage the Word daily in your life if you want to experience growth in your life.
PRAYER:
Pray and ask God to help you walk in the precepts of His Word daily……..
